Bar - encourage guests to bring a bottle to share and one to help stock the new couple's bar

Have the bride and groom wear big Mexican sombreros so they stand
out from the crowd.

Luau - encourage guests to wear Hawaiian shirts and grass
skirts; decorate the area with an island theme.

Entertainment - encourage guests to bring gifts for the
couple related to entertaining others in their home. Gifts
such as barbeque grills, lawn chairs, and games are just a few
examples some of the types of gifts that can be anticipated.
- Decades
- pick a certain decade (60's,70's, 80's,etc) and encourage
guest to come to the event dressed in fashions from that era.
You can also decorate the location as well as play music from the
selected decade.
- Western
- encourage the guests to dress up as cowboys and cowgirls.
Serve Western themed food such as chili and play Country and Western
music.
- Hollywood -- encourage the guests to dress up as their favorite movie
stars, living or deceased.
Baby
- Many of the
themes mentioned above as "Wedding" shower themes can also be used
for a Baby shower as well. You can also specify a separate
theme for the gifts such as "Winnie-the-Pooh" and "Noah's Ark"
so that the couple may still receive gifts that will help them to
decorate the baby's room.
